I don’t usually write much about designers or collections, but the Khaite Resort 2026 styling felt like my moodboard dreams brought to life.
It’s really cool how we can all look at the same image, fall in love with it, and take away something completely different.
And apropos to my moodboarding event in June in Toronto (June 17th is sold out, but there are still some tickets available for June 18th, buy them here)
it’s a perfect example of why it’s so important to pause and ask: What does this mean for me? What exactly is it that I’m responding to?
For me, it was immediately the way the prints and textures were layered. It made me want to go into my own closet and build an outfit around unexpected pairings. And the best part of this collection for me was that it didn’t make me want to shop, it made me want to try. It made me want to get dressed. Style! Pair old things together in new ways!
And for you…maybe what sticks out is this outfit below. Maybe because you have an old sheer duster sitting in your closet and you would have never thought in a million years to wear a leather blazer over it with a pair of jeans. Or it inspires you to opt for the bold turquoise boots when your outfit already has personality, instead of the defaulted neutral shoe.
And the more I thought about this outfit, what struck me most wasn’t just the turquoise boots…it was the confidence I sensed behind them. I am picturing what I would think if I saw someone wearing this on the streets of New York and that’s exactly what I would think about this person. A person with confidence. Who has their own personal style. The outfit already had personality. The boots weren’t there to “tie it together,” they were just... there. Because they’re loved. Because the person wearing them doesn’t dress to match…they dress to express.
And to me…it’s that kind of styling that feels like second skin. Where you assume, those are her boots she loves to wear. Not chosen to go with the particular outfit. But worn because, in her world, they always go.
That’s what I’m drawn to lately: outfits that feel lived-in, not overly composed. A little off, a little brave, and totally intentional.
It’s interesting timing because I just got these (relatively) crazy pants and i didn’t doubt them for a second. I knew they weren’t going to be a pant everyone complimented me on. I almost kind of liked that even more about them? I went with my gut and splurged on them. And absolutely love wearing them. I have worn them almost every day since I got them. It’s a wonderful feeling to trust your taste.

The styling in the khaite collection is a great reminder to trust your taste. If you want to try something, do it. There are no rules about whether it “goes.” If you put it on and catch yourself thinking “I kind of love this?”… that’s your sign. That’s the outfit. GO FORTH AND WEAR IT.
Style isn’t about getting it right. It’s about trusting your eye. That’s what I’m always trying to teach through moodboarding: learning to spot what lights you up, and then how to translate that into how you get dressed.
SLIGHTLY UNRELATED. I had a styling session with a client yesterday, and we ended up building a bunch of outfits around a classic blue button up she already owned. And honestly it reminded me how versatile and quietly interesting a blue button up is. The kind of thing we overlook because it feels “basic,” when actually, it can do a lot.
My original intention was to write a post about that. But then the khaite collection got me spiraling (in the best way). So instead, I’ll just leave you with a few of the outfits I was creating for the blue button up post so they don’t go to waste.
Maybe it will help you rediscover the blue button up in your own closet. And inspire you to pair it with things you might not normally think to. That printed skirt or pant. Or pistachio shorts. The bottoms you think only go with a white or black tee. Think along those lines…

I was listening to a good hang this morning - the paul rudd episode. Jon Hamm in the beginning is so good!
happy friday everyone!! thank you for being a trouper. i love you all!

Reva
Great thougtful post and trousers.. are they very cropped? Is there any fabric to lengthen them?
I loved this Reva! It’s so important to translate things and take away from them what resonates with us vs just trying to buy or copy the look to a T. Love your blue shirt outfits too!
