Ok the vlog didn’t go as planned. But this will be just as good I promise.

Let’s dive in shall we.

What I packed.

A few days before any trip, I start a note with outfit ideas, often based on specific pieces or inspiration I’ve saved. If I get new ideas, I’ll update it during free moments. The day before the trip, I try on and photograph the final outfits to make sure they work in real life. Having pictures helps me easily reference them while getting dressed during the trip. This was my note for this trip.

What I pack in.

A carry on suit case (away) and a travel garment bag.

Most of my clothes go in the garment bag, everything else goes in the suitcase (accessories, toiletries, etc). The garment bag is a clever way to sneak in extra items and have more space. I also carry a purse, so I have three pieces total (purse, garment bag, and carry-on). I’ve never had an issue on long-haul flights.

I wore my nylon prada napsack (got it second hand in Tokyo on my honeymoon in 2018). I usually just carry the garment bag on it’s own - but for this trip, I put the garment bag in my large Acne tote in case I needed extra space for shopping and gifts on my way home.

En route.

Read Wives Like Us by Plum Sykes

and spilled an entire coffee all over myself (Casualty #1)

Casualty # 2, my airpod case fell out of my pocket when we arrived at the hotel and my airpods went flying. Literally.

In fact, one of them flew a few hundred metres away according to my find my app.

Au revoir to the Right Bud!

Day 1 begins.

We checked into the hotel around 4PM (Hotel de Crillon).

Patina - the most BEAUTIFUL bras and underwear. Elegant, minimal, sexy. You guys will love it. I got the licorice but I think the marron glacé is also very special (I just love the names of the colours, so clever!)

And then off we went to Le Bon Marche (a department store, you could spend an entire day here).

My loafers are the row, I got them second hand last year but I would suggest these as an alternative and think they are easier to style! (mine feel a bit too grandpa-ish sometimes). My coat is great and kept me warm all trip. This is my third season with it. The forecast called for snow and colder temperatures so I brought a light padded vest to wear under my coat if I needed.

A few things that caught my eye..

the row heels, satin heels, loved the colours on this bottega, this silk scarf bag, a teckel, blue celine sneakers, soeur loafer flats (remind me of the new chanel ones I keep seeing everywhere), chloe dress in the flesh

My husband knows me well and knows I am in my happy place :)

Got this Malene Birger sweater jacket.

They told me it was exclusive to the store, and naturally, I was sold. I’m pretty sure they could hear my Canadian accent from miles away and knew exactly how to reel me in! “Oh, you like this? Well, it's only available here, eh?”
