Summer styling: 5 outfit ideas
my outfit maker accessory this summer, great white pants to buy, and avoiding outfit regret
Every time June comes around and the summer weather starts, we all get confused about who we are and what are ‘summer style’ is.
Sure, summer can be a time to dress aspirational and be that breezy doen-type girl. Or, it can be a time for you to continue being yourself but with shorter sleeves, lighter materials, and more ankle-baring outfits. All that matters is that you are wearing what you want and what makes you happy. No pressure to be anything otherwise.
And reminder - if you are a paid subscriber, you have the ability to ask any styling or shopping questions in the chat or send me a direct message. I will always respond.
My short styling tips from last summer is a helpful place to start if you are struggling…but here are some more specific outfit ideas to help you get dressed beyond styling shorts.
All black
Tie something around your waist
White pants (including a pair in my cart)
This outfit-maker accessory for the summer
Jeans and a tee
Let’s dig in!
All black. It looks good EVERY SINGLE TIME. Whenever I am stuck, this is what I put on. But this is the most important part of it…BE INTENTIONAL. Don’t just throw on all black because you think you have nothing else to wear and feel negative about it. CHOOSE to put it on. Choose to wear all black on purpose. Changing your mindset will make a difference.
Outfit idea: black legging capris or bike shorts and a black tee
Outfit idea: black long sleeve and black trouser shorts
Outfit idea: make your own set…black button up with black shorts
Style tip: lean into the all black with a black pair of sunglasses.
Tie a button up around your waist. It’s a great styling alternative for layering (which we can’t rely on as much in the summer because of the heat).
